APCO and Najib: Tian Chua*’s Take
Tomorrow (March 30, 2010), Barisan Nasional parliamentarians will be gearing up to crucify Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim (below) for his comments on APCO. The MPs might think that they are doing the BN government a favour by defending Najib and his high-flying consultancy company.

I would like to invite my friends from the other side to think harder, and look harder. In fact, it does not require a lot of effort to find out the connection between APCO and Israel.
But before I go further, I wish to make myself very clear on this; the discussion has NOTHING to do with the ‘Jewish Question’. There is a great difference in being Jewish and being the adherents of ideological Zionism.
Malaysians are often proud to proclaim solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people. We have also maintained an independent foreign policy and have had a long record of being fully committed to the cause and principles of the non-aligned movement.
In this context, it is hard to understand how our prime minister could hire a public relations firm that is well known for its shady ties with international Zionism? Why should we trust a company with Zionist agenda to handle Malaysian strategic communications?
Not just another Jewish firm
Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim has raised several critical questions in Parliament on the similarities between the slogans ‘1Malaysia’ and ‘1Israel’. He also challenged the government to justify spending RM23 million of taxpayers’ money on APCO.
NONEThere is also the question of why didn’t Najib (left) and his government engage local public relations firms to undertake such work?
According to APCO’s own statement, its responsibilities cover a wide scope – beyond communications. “APCO’s work has included communication support for a broad range of reform initiatives undertaken by the government of Malaysia, especially in the areas of creating jobs, promoting education, and strengthening delivery of services to the people.”
Indeed, it is strange that this clarification did not come from Najib or the Prime Minister’s Office.
The reason Pakatan Rakyat raised these issues was not for political point-scoring, but because they warrant genuine concern for national security.
APCO Worldwide is based in Washington DC and has 23 offices all over the world including Tel Aviv. It is common knowledge that many of its key personalities and advisers are associated with Zionist Israel, e.g. Shimon Shein (former Israeli Ambassador to Germany), Itamar Rabinovich (former Israeli Ambassador to the US), etc.
APCO and ASERO
But APCO cannot deny that its operators in Tel Aviv have close links to the Zionist regime. Its CEO in Israel, Gad Ben-Ari, was a personal adviser of the late PM Yishak Rabin. APCO in Israel undertakes various communications and strategic development work for both corporate and governmental organisations.
Also, the relationship between Israel and APCO is more than merely having an office in Tel Aviv. APCO’s activities in the Zionist state go beyond the civilian sectors. Notably one of the members of Apco’s International Advisory Council is Doron Bergerbest-Eilon, who was a former security chief for the Israeli government.
NONEAPCO’s involvement in various intelligence and security-related projects is done through its strategic partner and sister company ASERO Worldwide. While APCO’s expertise is in the field of communications, ASERO specialises in homeland security and risk management consultancy.
APCO and ASERO have many overlapping consultants and management members. For example, Doron Bergerbest-Eilon who sits on APCO’s International Advisory Council was also founder and president of ASERO Worldwide.
Doron Bergerbest-Eilon was formerly a senior ranking security official of the Israeli Security Agency (ISA). He was the head of the protection and security division and held a position equivalent to the rank of major-general. His dedication to Israeli secret service has even earned him a prestigious Director’s Recognition Award by the U.S. Secret Service.
Mara Hedgecoth, the daughter of APCO CEO and President Margery Kraus also sits in ASERO as Vice President. At the same time, she also serves as Vice President and Director in APCO Worldwide.
ASERO’s Senior Vice President, Carl Truscott was another tainted figure under Bush Administration. Carl Truscott was the Director of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Bureau.
But he resigned in August 2006 after a report by the Justice Department found he had wasted tens of thousands of dollars on luxuries, wasted millions on whimsical management decisions and violated ethical standards by ordering employees to help his nephew with a high school video project.
Recruited from Mossad
ASERO Worldwide advises Israeli military/civilian agencies on strategic and tactical security challenges and provides assistance to both governments and corporations to prepare, mitigate and recover from threats of terrorism and other hazards, as well as to protect lives and critical assets and ensure continuity of operations.
ASERO’s staff are filled with recruits from the Israel Security Agency (also known as Shabak or Shin Bet) and the infamous Mossad. As we all know, these agencies’ standard operation procedures in counter-terrorism include torturing suspects, assassinations, etc.
In 2006, APCO and ASERO introduced Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to Israel, and helped to develop Israel’s airport security system – the Suspect Detection Systems. The TSA was designed by John Magaw, another Apco leading consultant who used to serve as director of the U.S. Secret Service.
Links to Singapore
It is no secret that Singapore and Israel covertly engage in extensive cooperation in the fields of defense and intelligence. The cooperation between the two countries can be traced back to the 1960s.

ASERO and APCO provide consultancy service on homeland security to the Singapore Government. ASERO, in particular, assists Singapore with technical and intelligence services in aviation and aerospace security. Their services and expertise have facilitated the rapid transfer of Israeli military and security technologies to Singapore.
The two companies are also involved in promoting Israeli participation in long-term research and cooperation in strategic fields that have security or military implications. One such institution is the Singapore-Israel Industrial R&D Foundation (SIIRD) established in 1997.
In recent years, ASERO has actively participated in many counter-terrorism activities. In the quest for academic exchange, ASERO joined the Centre of Behavioral Science (CBS). The objective of CBS is to serve as a “platform for the transfer and exchange of leading-edge knowledge and ideas which contribute to the transformation of the life of individuals, organisations and society at large”.
Access to sensitive material
Against this background, there are ample of reasons for patriotic Malaysians to question the wisdom of engaging Apco. There is no doubt that APCO does not share the vision and objective of our nation-building. It is not surprising that ‘1Malaysia’ has not been resonating well in our local context.
In fact historically, ‘1Malaysia’ sounds too similar to the various one-nation movements around the world. Unfortunately, the one-nation slogan has become inevitably associated with conservative tendencies.
As we know, ‘One Israel’ was the slogan of a failed attempt to forge unity in a fragmented political landscape. Then there was also ‘One Britain’, which had been the theme of notorious UK Conservative politicians and far-right, anti-immigration groups.
john howard malaysia visit 301106 talkingIn Australia, ex-Prime Minister John Howard (left) formulated a ‘One Australia’ policy in 1980s. In essence, ‘One Australia’ was a reaction against multiculturalism and it insisted that Australia must retain the domination of the Anglo-Saxons.
Howard’s ‘One Australia’ theme was later picked up by racist politicians such as Pauline Hanson who founded the One Nation Party. This party’s sole platform was based on fiery anti-migrants and anti-foreigners rhetoric and policies.
Surrendering sovereignty
A year after launching, the concept of ‘1Malaysia’ is still too ambiguous to the majority of Malaysians. Although the slogan has generated lots of hype, there is no substance in it.
In fact, Malaysians of all ethnicity are equally lost in this mantra-like rhetoric. The ‘feel-good’ effect cannot sufficiently cover the disappointment or disillusionment over inaction in addressing real issues affecting the nation, such as corruption, falling productivity, poverty, national unity etc.
Our concern is more than just wasting tax payers’ money on all those glitzy advertisements, billboards, songs, concerts, essay-writing competitions etc. We must address the core issue; how secure can the country be when we voluntarily expose all governmental functionaries to a private firm with a strong foreign interest?
In its work, APCO has been given access to many highly sensitive government materials which I believe even most Malaysians are denied access to. It would be absolutely naïve for us to believe that APCO will handle our state secrets ‘professionally’, especially when we run into conflict with global powers.
I hope legislators and leaders of BN would pay some attention to this serious issue. If you are truly patriotic, stand up now. Please do not surrender the fate of Malaysia into the hands of foreign powers.

THE SINGAPORE ISRAEL LOVE AFFAIR
Bismillahirrahmanirraheem.
1. Until 1965, Singapore was part of Malaysia. Singapore declared its independence on August 9, 1965.
2. Impressed by the Israeli defence system when visiting Israel in 1959, Singapore’s 1st Minister of Defence, Goh Keng Swee (GKS) later invited Mordecai Kidron, Israeli Ambassador to Thailand, over to Singapore to help set up its army. By end- 1965, Israeli teams from Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) began arriving to help Singapore build its army, Singapore Armed Forces Training Institute (SAFTI) and the Defence Ministry.
3. GKS had to be mindful of the sensitivities of neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia, with predominantly Muslim populations. Hence utmost secrecy surrounded the presence and activities of the Israelis, who had specially asked to be referred to as ‘Mexicans’ to avoid having their cover blown. Israel imposed a total blackout on the story and the secret was preserved. Until the other side could no longer contain itself.
4. In his book, “From Third World to First: The Singapore Story 1965-2000,” published in 2000, Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore’s first prime minister, disclosed the secret that had been kept for almost 40 years: It was the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) that established the Singaporean army.
5. Singapore’s army is today considered the strongest and most advanced of the military forces in Southeast Asia. The alliance between the Israeli and Singaporean defense establishments intensified and expanded. Along with the two tracks of compulsory service and career army, Singapore also adopted the IDF’s model of reserve service.
6. In January 1968, Singapore decided to create an armored corps. In great secrecy, an agreement was signed for the purchase of 72 AMX-13 light tanks from IDF surplus. It was a bold decision: Malaysia, the country’s large neighbor, didn’t have tanks. On Independence Day, August 9, 1969, a major surprise awaited the invited guests, including the defense minister of Malaysia: 30 tanks rolled past the reviewing stand.
7. In a book entitled “The Israeli Connection: Whom Israel arms and why”, Benjamin Beit-Hallahmi (1988, pg26) wrote, “According to the CIA (1979), Singapore is the location of the main Mossad station in Asia. General Efrain Poran, a former military adviser to (Israeli) PM Begin, served a s Defense adviser to the Singapore Government (Kartin, 1984). In 1969, 45 Israeli advisers were on active duty in Singapore.”
8. Israel Shamir wrote, “Singapore has some similarities to the Jewish state: authoritarian rule, vast employment of foreign guest workers, aggressive stance towards their integrated neighbours. A great friend of Israel and the Far East base of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, Singapore is an important link in the global system of currency trading, an integral part of the New World Order, a supporter of the US and Australia. ”. “By taking a leaf from Israel’s book, Singapore declared its ‘right’ to wage war on Malaysia if the country hikes the price of the water it sells to the island.”.
9. He added,”Singapore poisons the minds of the Malaysian Chinese and encourages their immigration to the island. It is a very unnecessary thing, for the Malaysian Chinese community is well integrated in their country.”
10. I came across an interesting write-up (June 2009) by Matthias Chang in his website futurefastworward, who couldn’t have summed it better: “…the Chinese saw through his (Lee Kuan Yew) devious schemes and rejected emphatically PAP’s politics. Lee Kuan Yew thought he could out-maneuver Tunku and become the Prime Minister of Malaysia. But Tunku beat him at his own game and he was expelled from Malaysia. Considering himself to be intellectually superior to Tunku, he could not accept that he was defeated so resoundingly by Tunku. He was devastated. When he announced that Singapore would be separated from Malaysia, he broke down uncontrollably. This was only to be expected as his dreams of being the Overlord of Malaysia, comprising of Peninsula Malaya, Sarawak and Sabah was shattered and he has to be content with being a bully of a city state! Given such a traumatic experience, and possessing a vindictive disposition, it is a given that Lee Kuan Yew would harbour a secret agenda against Malaysia. And over the years, he has sowed and continues to sow discord among the races in Malaysia.”
11. Matthias Chang continued,” It was reported that one of the reasons for his recent visit to Malaysia is to find out how the Chinese are faring in Malaysia. What arrogance.” “Why is there a need for such an elaborate programme – meetings with the prime minister, the deputy prime minister, an audience with the Agong, the Sultan of Perak and more meetings with other political leaders?” “No country is perfect and devoid of problems. We had our fair share, but we are better off without Lee Kuan Yew. “ Well put, Chang!
12. Chang again warns “Malaysians must be vigilant. Lee Kuan Yew cannot be trusted and while Singapore is our neighbour and a member of ASEAN, we must never forget that Singapore has never ceased to dictate terms to Malaysia whenever she perceives Malaysia as being weak. Do not forget the 1997 financial crisis and how Singapore treated us when we were in need.Today, Singapore is reeling under the weight of the global financial tsunami, but Lee Kuan Yew is behaving as if Singapore has a bottomless vault of financial goodies, ever ready to invest in Malaysia as a favour. We don’t need Singapore’s money! Malaysia doesn’t need any favours from Singapore! And Malaysians have no need for a Lee Kuan Yew telling us how to develop our country!”.
13. Last but not least, let me share with you a thought from someone in a website posted in 2008. He wrote, ”Orang Melayu di Malaysia tidak sedar, Singapura adalah diam berisi. Singapura dijaga oleh Amerika dan Israel. Semua komponen tentera Singapura dibeli dan diselenggara sama ada oleh Amerika atau Israel. Mossad sendiri berpangkalan di Singapura. Mossad’s Passport Thieves, the Malaysian Airlines Crash, and Global Terror Attacks

Regarding terror attacks in airports or on airplanes Mossad is the likely culprit. 911, though not involving actual planes but surely involving airport security, was theirs, as were both the shoe and underwear faux bombings.
Malaysian Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing was most likely brought down as a result of a terrorist attack by the Mossad. Such an attack is standard Mossad operations. It was this entity which was responsible for the PAN AM Lockerbie crash, perpetrated by remote control detonation of an explosive device. That bombing was wrongly blamed, maliciously so, on a Libyan espionage agent in full cooperation with secretive Israeli and Zionist mole, Muammar Qaddafi.
Terror is being regarded as the most likely cause of the crash and regarding this, the placement of a bomb that could be detonated by remote control or through some other nefarious means is being seriously considered:
Investigators are checking the identity of four passengers on missing Flight MH370, but have not yet determined if the plane was downed by an attack, the country’s transport minister said on Sunday
“All the four names are with me,” Hishamuddin Hussein, who is also defence minister, told reporters.
He confirmed that Malaysian investigators had met counterparts from the U.S. FBI, and said the investigation was focusing on the entire passenger manifest.
However, as is usual, it is Islaam and Muslim groups which are being blamed, even though a goodly portion of the passengers were Muslims, as the flight originated in a primarily Muslim land. The blaming of the impossible upon Islaamic people, citing links to al-Qaeda, is standard operating procedure of the Mossad:
Former Army soldier Colonel Richard Kemp says the possibility that Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 had been attacked by terrorists must be given serious consideration.
Col Kemp, a former head of counter-terrorism for the Joint Intelligence Committee and chairman of Cobra, said: “The possibility of this being a terror attack has to be seriously considered.
“Two passengers appeared to be travelling on stolen passports and there was no distress signal.
“We have seen recent terror attacks in China itself.
“We know the Uighurs minority have terrorist links.
“They are Muslim separatist militants and for quite a long time have carried out terrorist attacks.
“Only last weekend they were blamed for the knife attack at a station in Yunnan province, which left 29 dead.
“It is not beyond the bounds of possibility these people could be involved in the latest incident – either the Uighurs themselves or others seeking to support them.
“This group is known to have links with al-Qaeda – and we know that Islamist terrorists remain obsessed with attacks carried out by aircraft.

Secret CIA Documents on Mossad
The secret CIA and State Department documents printed here have come a long way. They were discovered by the Iranian students who took over the U.S. Embassy in Tehran on November 4, 1979. Some were complete, others which had gone through a shredding machine were painstakingly pieced together.
These documents, made available to CounterSpy by journalists Randy Goodman, Terri Taylor and William Worthy, are only a fraction of a 13 volume paperback set (complete with commentary) readily available for sale in Iran. The three journalists picked up a set at an airport on their way to Shiraz. In late November 1981 they had completed their assignment for CBS and flew home. The FBI and Customs officials seized their luggage and confiscated the documents — with the active assistance of Lufthansa (West German) Airlines.
But a second set of the books — sent by another route — was overlooked by customs and reached the U.S. intact. (Some of the volumes were supplied to the Washington Post which analyzed them in a series running from January 31 to February 6, 1982.)
The 13 volumes of documents are a goldmine. They expose covert CIA operations in Iran (an attempt to recurit former Prime Minister Bani Sadr, for example), reveal the CIA’s use of corporate covers, and detail former Prime Minister Mehdi Bazargan’s attempts to establish ties with U.S. intelligence.
The documents supplied to CounterSpy deal with the triangle of U.S.-Israeli-Iranian relations. A careful reading of the documents illustrates that the Washington Post’s analysis was narrowly focussed on the “U.S. angle.” Other disclosures were simply glossed over — systematic Israeli suppression of domestic dissent, for example, or Mossad (Israel’s CIA) and Israeli military intelligence support for repressive regimes in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and even Mossad’s “psycholgical warfare projects.”
The main document reprinted here is an in-depth CIA analysis of Israeli intelligence, written in March 1979 and classified secret. Israel–Singapore relations are foreign relations between Israel and Singapore. Relations between the two countries are extremely cordial, and they are known to share a Special Relationship. Both countries established diplomatic relations in May 1969.[1] Israel has an embassy in Singapore. Singapore is represented in Israel by a non resident ambassador based in Singapore (in the Foreign Ministry) and through an honorary consulate in Tel Aviv.
The two nations enjoy an extensive security relationship, with Israeli and Singaporean arms industries engaging in joint development and a large level of military trade between the two countries.[2]
Agreements
In 2005, the two countries signed a pact to ease the flow of goods and investments between the two countries during a visit to Israel by Singaporean Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong with members of the Israeli Cabinet as well as meeting Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon.[3] In February 2017, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu became the first Israeli head of state to visit Singapore in 30 years.[4]
Singapore was one of 41 countries that abstained from voting on the Resolution 67/19 on “Status of Palestine in the United Nations” by the United Nations General Assembly on 29 November 2012 which granted Non-Member Observer State status to Palestine. In explaining the reasons for Singapore’s abstention, Senior Minister Masagos Zulkifli stated that Singapore believes “that only a negotiated settlement consistent with UN Security Council Resolution 242 can provide the basis for a viable, long term solution” and that “[b]oth sides have legitimate rights and shared responsibilities, and must be prepared to make compromises to achieve the larger good of a lasting peace”.[5]

Over the years, Singapore and Israel enjoy close co-operation. Today, the two countries share military platforms, including early warning aircraft, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missile systems, aircraft and surveillance technologies.

The Singaporean Government has expressed concern over Palestinian rocket attacks against israeli civilians. In January 2009, the Singapore Foreign Ministry said of the Gaza War, “This is an extremely disturbing development,” that “It can only exacerbate the already grave humanitarian situation.”[11] Following the ceasefire, Singapore Foreign Ministry called it a “positive development” but remained “deeply concerned over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and urge all sides to take urgent steps to address the situation”.[12]
In July 2014, the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement on the recent murder of the three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank. The statement said: “Singapore strongly condemns the killing of the three Israeli teenagers, who were first abducted on June 12, 2014. We convey our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Israel. Perpetrators of such heinous crimes must be swiftly brought to justice”.[13]
In the 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict, the Minister for Foreign Affairs K. Shanmugam said the Palestinian militant organization Hamas has “deliberately used civilians as (human) shields” and was responsible for rejecting the 15 July 2014 Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire.[14] In the same speech to parliament, he also said that Hamas had been consistently launching rocket attacks at Israel, numbering over 2,000 missiles at one point, and this was what prompted the start of Israel’s operation to destroy these rocket-launching sites, the smuggling tunnels and the munitions stockpiles to prevent attacks on Israel civilians.

This visit also confirms the intensive establishment of contacts between the two countries in trade. The volume of trade data between Indonesia and Israel during 2005 has reached 154 million dollars. Israel believe it will reach 600 million dollars in 2010 and more than 1 billion dollars in 2012.
Israel is targeting various important projects in Indonesia, for example, PLT-Geothermal development project in Sumatra worth 200 million dollars that won by Ormat Technologies Inc, Israeli engineering company in the field of geothermal energy. In addition, Indonesia has become marketing target of biomedical technology products.

I think I too must add the obligatory “this is not anti-Semitic” preamble. Like many of us who studied in the US, we have tons of great Jewish friends, and have long learnt to differentiate between Jew and Zionist.
Especially after researching the Shin Bet however, I think there is even less doubt as to some of the repressive tendencies of the Israeli government.
First, let us establish the Shin Bet connection to APCO (APCO’s involvement w/the government, we must note, has been established beyond doubt).

Apco and Asero have many overlapping consultants and management members. For example, Doron Bergerbest-Eilon who sits on Apco’s International Advisory Council was also founder and president of Asero Worldwide.
Mara Hedgecoth, the daughter of Apco CEO and President Margery Kraus also sits in Asero as Vice President. At the same time, Mara Hedgecoth also serves as Vice President and Director in Apco Worldwide.
The connection between APCO and ASERO is fully public. The only other company mentioned on ASERO’s About Us page:

APCO and Najib: Tian Chua*’s Take
Tomorrow (March 30, 2010), Barisan Nasional parliamentarians will be gearing up to crucify Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim (below) for his comments on APCO. The MPs might think that they are doing the BN government a favour by defending Najib and his high-flying consultancy company.

I would like to invite my friends from the other side to think harder, and look harder. In fact, it does not require a lot of effort to find out the connection between APCO and Israel.
But before I go further, I wish to make myself very clear on this; the discussion has NOTHING to do with the ‘Jewish Question’. There is a great difference in being Jewish and being the adherents of ideological Zionism.
Malaysians are often proud to proclaim solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people. We have also maintained an independent foreign policy and have had a long record of being fully committed to the cause and principles of the non-aligned movement.
In this context, it is hard to understand how our prime minister could hire a public relations firm that is well known for its shady ties with international Zionism? Why should we trust a company with Zionist agenda to handle Malaysian strategic communications?
Not just another Jewish firm
Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim has raised several critical questions in Parliament on the similarities between the slogans ‘1Malaysia’ and ‘1Israel’. He also challenged the government to justify spending RM23 million of taxpayers’ money on APCO.
NONEThere is also the question of why didn’t Najib (left) and his government engage local public relations firms to undertake such work?
According to APCO’s own statement, its responsibilities cover a wide scope – beyond communications. “APCO’s work has included communication support for a broad range of reform initiatives undertaken by the government of Malaysia, especially in the areas of creating jobs, promoting education, and strengthening delivery of services to the people.”
Indeed, it is strange that this clarification did not come from Najib or the Prime Minister’s Office.
The reason Pakatan Rakyat raised these issues was not for political point-scoring, but because they warrant genuine concern for national security.
APCO Worldwide is based in Washington DC and has 23 offices all over the world including Tel Aviv. It is common knowledge that many of its key personalities and advisers are associated with Zionist Israel, e.g. Shimon Shein (former Israeli Ambassador to Germany), Itamar Rabinovich (former Israeli Ambassador to the US), etc.

But APCO cannot deny that its operators in Tel Aviv have close links to the Zionist regime. Its CEO in Israel, Gad Ben-Ari, was a personal adviser of the late PM Yishak Rabin. APCO in Israel undertakes various communications and strategic development work for both corporate and governmental organisations.
Also, the relationship between Israel and APCO is more than merely having an office in Tel Aviv. APCO’s activities in the Zionist state go beyond the civilian sectors. ASERO’s Senior Vice President, Carl Truscott was another tainted figure under Bush Administration. Carl Truscott was the Director of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Bureau.
But he resigned in August 2006 after a report by the Justice Department found he had wasted tens of thousands of dollars on luxuries, wasted millions on whimsical management decisions and violated ethical standards by ordering employees to help his nephew with a high school video project.

ASERO Worldwide advises Israeli military/civilian agencies on strategic and tactical security challenges and provides assistance to both governments and corporations to prepare, mitigate and recover from threats of terrorism and other hazards, as well as to protect lives and critical assets and ensure continuity of operations.
ASERO’s staff are filled with recruits from the Israel Security Agency (also known as Shabak or Shin Bet) and the infamous Mossad. As we all know, these agencies’ standard operation procedures in counter-terrorism include torturing suspects, assassinations, etc.
In 2006, APCO and ASERO introduced Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to Israel, and helped to develop Israel’s airport security system – the Suspect Detection Systems. The TSA was designed by John Magaw, another Apco leading consultant who used to serve as director of the U.S. Secret Service.
Links to Singapore
It is no secret that Singapore and Israel covertly engage in extensive cooperation in the fields of defense and intelligence. The cooperation between the two countries can be traced back to the 1960s.

ASERO and APCO provide consultancy service on homeland security to the Singapore Government. ASERO, in particular, assists Singapore with technical and intelligence services in aviation and aerospace security. Their services and expertise have facilitated the rapid transfer of Israeli military and security technologies to Singapore.
The two companies are also involved in promoting Israeli participation in long-term research and cooperation in strategic fields that have security or military implications. One such institution is the Singapore-Israel Industrial R&D Foundation (SIIRD) established in 1997.
In recent years, ASERO has actively participated in many counter-terrorism activities. In the quest for academic exchange, ASERO joined the Centre of Behavioral Science (CBS). The objective of CBS is to serve as a “platform for the transfer and exchange of leading-edge knowledge and ideas which contribute to the transformation of the life of individuals, organisations and society at large”.
Access to sensitive material
Against this background, there are ample of reasons for patriotic Malaysians to question the wisdom of engaging Apco. There is no doubt that APCO does not share the vision and objective of our nation-building. It is not surprising that ‘1Malaysia’ has not been resonating well in our local context.
In fact historically, ‘1Malaysia’ sounds too similar to the various one-nation movements around the world. Unfortunately, the one-nation slogan has become inevitably associated with conservative tendencies.
As we know, ‘One Israel’ was the slogan of a failed attempt to forge unity in a fragmented political landscape. Then there was also ‘One Britain’, which had been the theme of notorious UK Conservative politicians and far-right, anti-immigration groups.
john howard malaysia visit 301106 talkingIn Australia, ex-Prime Minister John Howard (left) formulated a ‘One Australia’ policy in 1980s. In essence, ‘One Australia’ was a reaction against multiculturalism and it insisted that Australia must retain the domination of the Anglo-Saxons.
Howard’s ‘One Australia’ theme was later picked up by racist politicians such as Pauline Hanson who founded the One Nation Party. This party’s sole platform was based on fiery anti-migrants and anti-foreigners rhetoric and policies.
Surrendering sovereignty
A year after launching, the concept of ‘1Malaysia’ is still too ambiguous to the majority of Malaysians. Although the slogan has generated lots of hype, there is no substance in it.
In fact, Malaysians of all ethnicity are equally lost in this mantra-like rhetoric. The ‘feel-good’ effect cannot sufficiently cover the disappointment or disillusionment over inaction in addressing real issues affecting the nation, such as corruption, falling productivity, poverty, national unity etc.
Our concern is more than just wasting tax payers’ money on all those glitzy advertisements, billboards, songs, concerts, essay-writing competitions etc. We must address the core issue; how secure can the country be when we voluntarily expose all governmental functionaries to a private firm with a strong foreign interest?
In its work, APCO has been given access to many highly sensitive government materials which I believe even most Malaysians are denied access to. It would be absolutely naïve for us to believe that APCO will handle our state secrets ‘professionally’, especially when we run into conflict with global powers.
I hope legislators and leaders of BN would pay some attention to this serious issue. If you are truly patriotic, stand up now. Please do not surrender the fate of Malaysia into the hands of foreign powers.

In this dynamic and ever-changing world, Apco Worldwide stands tall as the giant of the lobbying industry. The firm, in its own words, offers “professional and rare expertise” to governments, politicians and corporations, and is always ready to help clients to sail through troubled waters in the complex world of both international and domestic affairs.
Margery Kraus founded APCO Associates in 1984 as a subsidiary to Arnold & Porter, one of Washington’s largest law firms, and from where APCO’s name is derived. Arnold and Porter is now Israel’s largest and longest serving registered foreign agent (not that there aren’t more than a handful of unregistered ones).
Beating the War Drum
Doing public relations for dictatorships is perhaps the more charitable part of Apco’s activities. Apco has a battalion of pro-war lobbyists under its wing. The firm is also a strong advocate of expanding armaments and the US military role in world affairs. In October 2004, Apco and Kissinger Associates (owned by Henry Kissinger) formed a strategic alliance. Beside Kissinger Associates, Apco also built a broad network or coalition of conservative pro-Zionist lobbyists and consultancy groups including Heritage Foundation, Frontier of Freedom, Jewish Policy Center, etc. In the name of war against terror, Apco helped to coordinate government communications to convince the public of the necessity of war. Its job also included manufacturing public opinion and feedback in supporting the war efforts. Basically it exploited Islam-phobia in Western society to sell aggression as the solution to regain security in the West.
In addition to supporting George Bush, Apco also defended British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s unpopular move to enter the Iraq war. Apco had assisted Tony Blair to consolidate the war alliance. Together with the London-based Foreign Policy Institute, Apco prepared and published the pamphlet, ‘A Global Alliance for Global Values’ in which Blair declared:
“We must commit ourselves to a complete renaissance of our strategy to defeat those that threaten us.”
After the invasion of Iraq, Apco swiftly positioned itself to help American companies plunder Iraqi wealth and resources. In May 2003, Apco Worldwide launched a task force headed by Marc Ginsberg, the former US ambassador to Morocco, to help U.S. clients secure contracts for Iraq’s rebuilding.
Apco is described as a lobby firm that “specialises in helping corporations advance their goals by manipulating legislators, and drafting and advancing model legislation and regulations. Key tools include the creation of business coalitions and fake, corporate-funded ‘grassroots’ groups tailored to specific issues.”
Recently there was a report published on the importance of finding a legal basis for an attack on Iran. Interestingly the authors, Jeffrey H. Smith and John B. Bellinger III, lawyers at Arnold & Porter, supplied such a basis.

Would it be too much to ask that WAPO reveal that according to the Justice Department’s Foreign Agent Registration Act section, Arnold and Porter has been serving as Israel’s registered foreign agent since June of 1964? Would it be a lot more to mention that since 2010 the firm has been receiving a $10,000 per month retainer for advisory services and “special projects?” Could WAPO possibly trouble itself to inform readers that according to FARA filings the firm earned $1.2 million in fees in 2010 alone from the Israeli government? Arnold and Porter is now Israel’s largest and longest serving registered foreign agent (not that there aren’t more than a handful of unregistered ones).
Arnold & Porter represented several Israeli government officials in US courts by arguing that sovereign immunity mandates provide blanket protection from legal liability for their actions. In 2007 the firm won dismissal of war crimes and crimes against humanity claims brought by Palestinians against former General Security Service head Avraham Dichter. In 2005 the firm won dismissal of similar claims against Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and other senior officials, Israeli military forces and an intelligence agency. In 2006 Arnold & Porter also won dismissal of similar claims focusing on a single Israeli official’s actions that resulted in civilian casualties in 1996. In 2008 Israel’s Treasury paid Arnold & Porter $483,401 to defend such actions. In the year 2010 the firm signed a renewable contract with Israel for a $10,000 per month retainer for legal and advisory services and “special projects” with $8,000 in allowed travel expenses. Arnold & Porter reported $1.2 million in fees from the government of Israel for the year 2010.

Hughes Hubbard and Reed is the same law firm handling the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers. After more than three years, customers have yet to be made whole. There are over 7600 law firms in New York City according to the legal web site, Martindale.com. Hughes Hubbard and Reed hired the same public relations firm to handle both the Lehman and MF Global matters, APCO Worldwide.
According to Wendell Potter, an insurance company public relations insider and whistleblower, writing in his book Deadly Spin, “One of the deceptive practices of which APCO has a long history is setting up and running front groups for its clients. In 1993, Philip Morris hired APCO to organize a front group called theAdvancement of Sound Science Coalition in response to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ruling that secondhand tobacco smoke was a carcinogen. Philip Morris also hired APCO to manage what it called a ‘massive national effort aimed at altering the American judicial system to be more hostile toward product liability suits‘ and to build a coalition to advocate for tort reform. According to the Center for Media and Democracy, the tobacco industry paid APCO almost a million dollars in 1995 to implement behind-the-scenes tort reform efforts and specifically to create chapters of ‘grassroots’ citizens’ groups called Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse.”
Amy Goodman, host of Democracy Now!, interviewed Wendell Potter on November 17, 2010. Potter revealed more about APCO and front groups:
“…there was a front group that was set up called Health Care America, and the sole purpose for it to be set up was to attack Michael Moore [who was about to release his documentary on health care, Sicko] and to attack the notion of a single-payer system in this country…the media contact for it was a guy named Bill Pierce, who I had known and worked with in the past…He was listed as a media contact, and if you called his number, you would have reached him at his desk at APCO Worldwide… There was an article that the New York Times wrote as a kind of a review of Sicko, not really a review but just a story about the movie actually premiering in the U.S. in June of 2007. And the New York Times story quoted the Health Care America spokesman as saying that this represented a move toward socialism. And there was not an —apparently not an attempt on the part of the reporter, or any reporter that I saw, to disclose the fact that this was funded largely by the insurance industry.”

In the same month that Corzine was hired by MF Global, March 2010, there were confirmed news reports that APCO Worldwide had been hired by the Financial Services Roundtable, a Wall Street trade group, to promote the image of Wall Street as trustworthy.
APCO in its own words
“APCO is proud of its work over the past 25 years providing strategic communication services to many governments, including the Government of Malaysia. APCO has also provided services to many of the world’s leading companies and to international institutions such as the World Bank, United Nations, the European Commission and ASEAN, among others.”
What they fail to mention however is that those strategies are devised by their International Advisory Council Members such as Aleksander Kwasniewski (former president of Poland), Itamar Rabinovich (Israel’s former Ambassador to the United States and former Chief Negotiator with Syria in the mid 1990’s), Timothy Roemer (former US ambassador to India, who is now on New Delhi and Mumbai’s key staff) and others who are interestingly members of the Bilderberg Group and the Trilateral Commission.
The Zionist Connection
The name Apco Worldwide suddenly gained fame (or notoriety) in Malaysia after Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim drew comparison of the firm’s image-building campaign for its Malaysian client to a similar campaign by the Israeli government.
Anwar in his speech in the Dewan Rakyat on March 17 said that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s 1Malaysia concept was actually an imitation of the ‘One Israel‘ concept of the Zionist regime, who is also a client of Apco.
Among Apco’s speciality is to help its clients to “navigate the complex and often converging worlds of business, industry and finance, media, public opinion and society, and government and public policy.”
Besides Apco, Kraus also helped found and develop the Close Up Foundation, an educational foundation sponsored in part by the US Congress. But Kraus is also active in other organisations which are less educational in nature, such as chairing the advisory board of Group Menatep, a Russian holding company, and being involved in Teuza Fund, a venture capital fund publicly traded in Israel’s Tel Aviv stock exchange.
Within Apco, 50 individuals sit in its powerful International Advisory Council. They comprise of former politicians, business leaders and diplomats. At least three among them, Itamar Rabinovich, Shimon Stein and Doron Bergerbest-Eilon, are individuals who are directly linked to Israel and its notorious political and military institutions.
Rabinovich was the Israeli ambassador to the US, and acted as the Zionist regime’s chief negotiator with Syria during the era of Yitzhak Rabin. A former president of the Tel Aviv University, Rabinovich is also the chairman of the Israeli-based Dan David Foundation, named after a Romanian-born Jewish philanthropist who was active in the Zionist youth movement of the 1940s.
Shimon Stein served as the Israeli ambassador to Germany, and according to Apco’s website, follows “a long and distinguished career in the Israeli government and Foreign Service”. Later, he served as minister-counselor for political affairs for the Israeli embassy in Washington.
Doron Bergerbest-Eilon is the former head of the protection and security division and a senior security official of the Israeli Security Agency (ISA), a position equivalent to the rank of Major General. In May 2005, Bergerbest-Eilon was awarded with The Director’s Recognition Award, the US Secret Service director’s highest commendation. Among his expertise listed are Security and Defence, with Singapore as one of his “regions of expertise”.
Apco’s involvement in various intelligence and security-related projects is done through its strategic partner and sister company Asero Worldwide. While Apco’s expertise is in the field of communications, Asero specializes in homeland security and risk management consultancy.
Ken Silverstein, the editor of Harper’s Magazine (June 30, 2007) described Apco lobbyists as the “crucial conduit through which pariah regimes advance their interests in Washington”. He exposed APCO’s specialised experience in working on behalf of authoritarian regimes such as Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.
Apco and Asero have many overlapping consultants and management members. For example, Doron Bergerbest-Eilon who sits on Apco’s International Advisory Council was also founder and president of Asero Worldwide.
Mara Hedgecoth, the daughter of Apco CEO and President Margery Kraus also sits in Asero as Vice President. At the same time, Mara Hedgecoth also serves as Vice President and Director in Apco Worldwide.

THE AGE OF CYBER WARFARE
The timing of a bribery charge against Harry Reid may be of more interest than the charge itself. A leak that led to the charge being made against him may have been timed in such a way as to cause doubt about Reid’s own claims about Trump. Over the past year (2016), and also over the past several months, in 2017, it seems that revelations made through leaks have a timing that is convenient for a certain group of people.
In Harry Reid’s case, it is when he is leading the charge against Trump for having ties to Russia, which is accused of interfering in the US elections.
Could there be a case of an intelligence organization releasing leaks strategically in an effort to interfere in and manipulate the American political process?
It appears there is every reason to believe so.
Such an organization would have to have massive and deep control of the communications network of many nations, including control of networks that go into the heart of governments–even networks of foreign intelligence agencies. It seems that Israel’s Mossad has been engaged in gaining control of just that for the past fifty years, at least.
One of its early successes was gaining exclusive ownership of Inslaw’s PROMIS, a program that could be manipulated to spy on people (mailstarhttp://mailstar.net/bugs.html). PROMIS was a computer program that acted as a search program for finding information about an individual, taking advantage of the fact that in the modern era, the information of many people living in industrialized societies is connected to databases that are accessed via the internet. The hacks used to get access to this information could involve putting in back doors, Trojans, and other secret codes into computer programs. The dissemination of these enhanced programs through sales of these programs, including sales to governments worldwide, or through the contamination of hard drives, thumb drives, and downloads from the internet, could allow for the control of and access to the communications networks of many countries.

The Mossad operation to control communication networks apparently grew in scope and ended up becoming so powerful that it was used to bring down the Soviet Union, a collapse that triggered glasnost and perestroika, according to Mossad insiders, including a former Mossad agent. The cyber spying operation was also allegedly used in drug operations that Mossad ran in Latin America, alongside the CIA and Reagan’s Contra–operations that were also intimately connected to the Mena, Arkansas-based drug trafficking ring, which is itself linked to Bill Clinton, as well as was used in operations by Mossad, to attack and disable communist-socialist movements in that region. Now the high-technology spying of Mossad, already revealed in the immediate aftermath of the September 11 attacks (see Fox News’ Carl Cameron’s investigative report of AMDOCS and other Israel-linked companies engaged in spying on America through its control of America’s telecommunications network – link: https://apunked.wordpress.com/israeli-spying-4-mossad-and-…/), has seemingly moved into the area of making strategic leaks for manipulation of public opinion and entrapment of targeted individuals and groups, in order to influence the political landscape of foreign nations.
Brendon O’Connell, an Australian who was arrested, jailed and persecuted, including having his constitutional rights such as his right to freedom of speech, infringed upon because of his information-gathering and publicizing activities that shed light on Mossad’s activities in Australia, has released the information he has accumulated about Israel’s infiltration of Australia’s communications and defense industries to the public (Brendon O’Connell’s blog: https://isolatebutpreserve.blogspot.kr/…/brendon-oconnells-…). O’Connell claims that Israel’s domination of the “hi-tech industry” all over the world, including China, threatens the sovereignty of nations and leaves them open to subversion.
It can also leave them vulnerable to false flag attacks, including cyber attacks.
The leak of Hillary Clinton and Clinton campaign manager Peter Podesta’s emails are likely to be part of this strategy of Mossad’s to use information that has been gathered over the years, and is continuing to be gathered, through its reported domination of high-technology industries, especially communication industries, enabling the secret intelligence agency to illegally modify and hack into programs for the purposes of espionage, for political ends.
One such leak may have been the recent release of information that Michael Flynn had been involved in communications with Russian government members–allegations that led to his being suspected by many members of the public of being unduly influenced by personal and foreign interests, and that ultimately resulted in his decision to resign his position as National Security Advisor. The timing of the leak is of particular interest, as it was in Reid’s case. It happened at a time when Flynn sided with Turkey in a dispute the Turkish government was having with Turkish Kurds.
Leaks using information gathered in the manner outlined above can be used to remove people from office. If the information is available on hand, then an intelligence organization in possession of it can release it whenever such an action is advantageous to it. Also, the information could end up never being released, depending on the circumstances. The information, in other words, can be used as a tool of control and manipulation.
It appears that Mossad is effecting the leaking of such information through certain organizations that it has created specifically for the release of these “leaks”, as well as through organizations that it has made secret partnerships with. One such organization is likely to be Wikileaks.
Julian Assange has said himself in the past that he does not release any information to the public without first running it by Mossad. From that statement, it is likely he is hinting that a lot of the leaks are associated with Mossad. As to whether Assange is a Mossad operative, it is hard to determine with certainty. However, even if he is not an operative per se, it looks like he is being manipulated by them.
It could have been that his organization happened to wander into Mossad’ gaze accidentally in the early days of its operation. These days, there appears to be a growing phenomenon of people turning away from the mainstream media, and moving to alternative media. These people have come to become mistrustful of many mainstream news organizations, so an organization that purports to leak information that governments act like they want to suppress, could be seen by many people as an organization that can be trusted to provide reliable information and is acting in the public’s interest. Such an organization would have been an attractive vehicle for this intelligence organization to use as its point of release for leaks.
Taking advantage of this growing mindset of the general population, it is possible that Mossad cultivated Wikileaks in order for it to function as a convenient arm to release its leaks through–leaks that are made to influence people in democratic countries, entrap opponents or individuals and groups that are causing obstructions for it, as well as wage a campaign of disinformation and propaganda.
The Pizzagate controversy is looking more and more like such a Mossad leaking operation. Through the website, WhatDoesItMean? (http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index2180.htm), a probable Mossad front, it is highly probable that Mossad manipulated the public with a manufactured controversy. The manipulation also probably involved Stratfor, another suspected Mossad front. Operatives in that organization could have inserted emails that cryptically made references to Pizzagate. These were part of a set up, probably taking advantage of Podesta’s innocent fondness for pizza, as well as his brother’s hobby of collecting pornographic art, and the Democratic Party’s use of a pizza restaurant to hold fundraisers, to create a fake conspiracy about pizzas, pedophilia and the Democrats.
The reaction to this controversy of many mainstream media companies, including Google, Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, and The New York Times, that started to censor writings and videos made on this topic, actually probably fueled the conspiracy, making many members of the public come to suspect that the conspiracy had legs to it, and the “biased” media (except FOX, Breitbart and other conservative pro-Trump media companies) was covering it up.
The Vault 7 incident is likely to prove to be another such manipulation. This apparently involved a fake set up involving secret communications between Trump and Russia’s Alfa Bank, reputed to be run by a member of Russia’s Jewish mafia, that was later found to be part of a computer spamming program.
This operation was probably carried out to show to the public that the Democrats were spying on the Republicans. The sophistication of this operation shows the hacking abilities of the group behind it. Such operations that set up the Democrats can only benefit ardent Zionists, especially ones in the Likud Party, who have been recently showing their intentions to weaken support for Democrats, through attacks on their credibility. Leaks, exposes and false flags seem to be the main instruments this faction is using these days to accomplish this.
That such cyber wars seem to be able to be conducted nowadays points to the extent of control of the communications systems and networks that Mossad, the top candidate for the leaking group, which is currently under the domination of the Likud faction, possesses. The leaks so far have benefitted the Likud Party’s favored candidate Trump. The control of communications networks appears to extend beyond the USA–to many democratic countries in the West and Asia (Malaysia, India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Singapore), and to even communist nations like China.
Currently in the news are allegations made by the US authorities that North Korea is involved in cyber intrusions of the New York Federal Reserve and has stolen $81 million from Bangladesh’s central bank. Other allegations made against North Korea include cyber attacks on 31 other financial institutions (using a group that calls itself Lazarus), and attacks on Seoul’s subway systems. If these attacks are manufactured false flag attacks, intended to implicate an innocent party, one of the countries that would have the means to do such false flag attacks includes Israel.
There is every indication, taking into consideration the frequency of recent cyber attacks, that further similar false flag attacks will be carried out. So far the cyber attacks have not caused a major loss of life, except perhaps in the case of Fukushima (Jim Stone –http://www.jimstonefreelance.com/fukushima1.html, Yoichi Shimatsu –http://rense.com/general94/secbb.htm), another suspected cyber-related incident, one involving the Stuxnet virus.
However, this does not mean that future false flag attacks that involve cyber manipulation won’t result in the deaths and the maiming of large numbers of people. The deaths can then be used as the justification for launching attacks on the targeted nation.
